Rules of Coexistence

Early Childhood and Primary

Early Childhood 1st Cycle

The entrances and exits of the 1st Cycle of Early Childhood students (P-0, P-1 and P-2) will be carried out through the new building located on Arnús i de Garí street.

Parents will drop off and pick up their children in their respective classrooms.

Early Childhood 2nd Cycle

The entrances and exits of the 2nd Cycle of Early Childhood students (P-3, P-4 and P-5) will be carried out through the doors located on Av. Pearson Pearson.

Parents will accompany their children to their respective classrooms and pick them up once classes have finished.

The entrance to the school on Av. Pearson will close at 8:50 for reasons of order and security. From that time on, parents will leave their children at the school reception (Miret i Sans). From there, students will go to their classes alone, or accompanied by school staff, depending on their age.

Students will not be allowed to enter the school reception area before 8:50 a.m.

We thank you in advance for your collaboration with these new measures, we believe that they will greatly help the smooth running of the school and the classes, which are constantly interrupted by the staggered arrival of students.

PRIMARY

Entrances:

Primary school students will enter through the doors located on Av. Pearson 26 (black door) and they will go directly to their classes.

The access doors to the school on Av.

Exits:

Primary school students will leave school as follows:

Students in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade will go down in order, accompanied by their tutor or a teacher, to the large playground (with the goal posts) where their parents will be waiting.

5th and 6th grade students will go down to the playground alone.

When they need to use the after school services, they will go to the classes assigned for this purpose directly, or accompanied by the tutor or a teacher, depending on their age.

The school reception/secretary office (Miret i Sans street) will be used solely for attending families and not for the entry and exit of students.

Any student who must leave the school during school hours must show written authorization signed by his or her parents addressed to the tutor or head of studies or electronically, by writing a message through the “Abat Oliba” APP.

I. The management team, the teaching staff and the PAS will ensure that a pleasant and safe school climate is maintained for all members of the educational community.

II. Students who disrupt school coexistence (for example, physical or verbal attacks, defamation, intimidation and/or humiliation of other members of the educational community, misuse of school facilities or furniture…) within the school or in the vicinity of the school Likewise, after reflection by tutors, teachers or members of the management team, they will be warned and/or sanctioned. The sanction may range from a one-day expulsion in the library during the school day to expulsion from the school for a maximum of ninety days. The management team, once the facts have been analysed, will assess their seriousness and resolve them in accordance with the current disciplinary mechanisms, their own and/or those of the educational administration.

III. Students who disrupt school life by using electronic devices inside or outside the school premises (for example, verbal attacks, defamation, intimidation and/or humiliation through social networks, including the dissemination of photographs, audios or videos of other members of the educational community or any objectionable image…) will be punished with expulsion from the school. The sanction may be between two to ninety days. The management team, once the facts have been analysed, will assess their seriousness and resolve them in accordance with the current disciplinary mechanisms, their own and/or those of the educational administration.

I. If a student cannot attend class, parents must notify the school in writing in advance or on the same day through other means of communication (tel. 93 204 08 16 or through the “Abat Oliba” APP). If the family does not report a student’s absence, the school will consider that it occurs without their knowledge.

II. In the event that the student has to leave school, it will be necessary to show an authorization signed by the parents. You will have to show it to the tutor or head of studies and hand it in to the secretary office before leaving the center.

III. A student’s lack of punctuality will be considered a minor lack of discipline if it is not accompanied by the corresponding justification.

IV. If there is repetition of these offenses, the family will be informed in writing through a disciplinary notice that must be justified through the “Abat Oliba” APP. If there is no modification in behavior, the absence will be considered academic.

I. The condition of the school as a place of work and personal improvement has as a natural consequence that the way of dressing is simple, correct and discreet. Clothing, hairstyle and accessories must be appropriate to dignity and the academic field.

II. The school uniform is mandatory for all Secondary school students. Students must pay special attention to the appropriateness of the clothing items (black or navy blue shoes and no sports shoes, long gray pants from 3rd grade of Secondary school onwards -, the sweater, the school polo shirt and the skirt). The use of the school sweatshirt is optional.

III. The use of piercings, tattoos and strident dyeing is not allowed. Regarding students, the use of earrings is not allowed.

IV. In case of non-compliance with the previous points, after communicating with the family, they must return home so that they can adapt their way of dressing to that of the school environment.

V. It is necessary to wear the Physical Education uniform during the hours of this subject. Activities carried out within the laboratories require the use of an overall.

VI. The regulations regarding forms of dress must be complied with in any academic event (including those that take place outside the school premises/hours) as well as in non-academic events that take place within the school premises, both during Secondary school and in Sixth Form.

I. The use of electronic devices is not permitted within the school grounds or in the vicinity of the school. Inside the school, it is recommended to turn off the phone and to keep the phone inside each student’s individual locker.

II.If it is used without specific permission from a teacher for a specific and justified reason, the electronic device will be removed from the student and will be retained for one week at the school. Parents, if they wish, may pick it up by going in person to the schools’ secretary during school hours.

III. Before entering the locker room, students will deposit their electronic device in a box designated for this purpose, which will be kept in a safe place by the Physical Education teacher. At the end of class and after leaving the locker room, the student will pick up their device.

IV. The use of an electronic device inside the locker room or in the toilets will be punished with expulsion from the school. The expulsion may be between two to ninety days. The management team, once the facts have been analysed, will assess their seriousness and resolve them in accordance with the current disciplinary mechanisms, their own and/or those of the educational administration.

V. No electronic device may be used on all school outings, weekeend trips, synthesis credits or similar activities. From the 2nd cycle of Secondary school and in Sixth form, if its use is required due to the characteristics of the activity, the team of teachers will specify when, where and for what purpose it can be used. In this case, failure to use it correctly will result in removing the electronic device for a week.

VI.In the cases of section V during the established sleeping hours, teachers will put away the students’ electronic devices.

The hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

It is a place to work and study in silence.

If a student wants to consult a book, they must ask the teacher in the library; once consulted it will be returned to you. If you want access to the use of computers to carry out academic activities, you must ask the teacher. You will use your username and password, requesting it in advance at the school’s Secretary’s Office.

Self-service photocopying for students is located in the Library and in the reception area. It works with cards that can be obtained at the entrance to the center, recharging the balance when necessary.

The Café can be used by 3rd and 4th Secondary school and Sixth form students during breaks. In the dining room, in principle, all the students eat everything. The only reason this rule can vary is a medical consideration. Students who have any type of allergy to certain foods must bring the corresponding medical certificate at the beginning of the course and inform the school Nursing Service through the “Abat Oliba” APP. When they must eat a different menu it will be communicated through the student’s agenda or in the Secretary’s Office.

  1. In the early childhood education stage, the uniform is made up of: a navy blue tracksuit with the school logo on the sweatshirt, a white t-shirt with the logo, white socks and white sports trainers. In addition to the school overall and fleece, for use at the school center.

The last year of early childhood education, in P5, the tracksuit is used two days a week (the days when they do sports).
