Why go?

We propose a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in which, in addition to walking andWe want to learn to live together with each other, we want to get closer to God. This is why, as close as possible, we try to attend daily Mass and encourage both individual and collective prayer.

This journey is also an opportunity to find oneself and to meet the people who accompany us.

Day by day

We got up at 6:30 am and had breakfast before leaving. We walk all the morning, pausing halfway for lunch. Once we reached the  village, we settle in the hostel, eat and rest for a while. In the afternoon there will be free time to do group activities such as playing cards, playing sports, doinga walk through the village, etc. Then we go to Mass, have dinner, say a joint prayer and  We shared the experience of the day before going to sleep. Finally, we go to sleep at 10 pm.

Every day we organize ourselves into work groups to do the shopping, food and clean up. Each person will wash their own clothes if necessary.

The day we arrive in Santiago de Compostela we will visit the city, attend Holy Mass in the cathedral and there will be free time to buy souvenirs, walk around, etc.

Necessary to take:

  • Personal documentation: DNI + photocopy of DNI for the monitors. Large family card. Pilgrim’s Credential (the monitors will provide it to you).
  • Comfortable backpack for walking that fits everything. It is advisable that the backpack has adjustment for the chest and waist. Be careful with the weight, no more than 10% of your weight. A capacity of 30 liters is ideal, avoid it being larger if possible.
  • Essential: a water bottle, plate and reusable cutlery (lightweight, ideally the typical Ikea plastic ones). A mask for each day.
  • Cap or sun hat, sunglasses optional.
  • Clothes for 2-3 days: underwear, t-shirts, long trousers (also good for going to mass) and shorts, a sweatshirt or a fleece jumper in case it gets cold. It is important to take few clothes to avoid carrying weight in your backpack. Each day you will wash the necessary items by hand, so it is advisable to bring soap and clothespins to hang them up later. There are hostels that have a washing machine and the price of a wash is approximately €1.
  • Raincoat (poncho type) or waterproof clothing.
  • Sleeping bag (if it’s light, it’s better. There are some sheet-type ones at Decathlon that take up very little space and weigh very little).
  • Towel (lightweight, like those from Decathlon) and swimsuit.
  • Walking shoes and another spare pair (Important: If possible, do not wear them for the first time on the Camino, because otherwise they will start to chafe. It is better to wear them for a while beforehand).
  • Flip-flops for showers and for resting your feet after walking.
  • Personal hygiene products and sun protection.
  • Torch
  • Personal first aid kit (Although the instructors will carry one with general items. Students must inform if they suffer from any allergies or if they take medication regularly).
  • Mobile phone charger.
  • Clothes pegs.
  • We recommend not carrying more than 40 euros for personal expenses.

Recommended/optional:

  • Walking sticks (very useful).
  • Vaseline (to prevent sores or blisters on the feet).
  • Mosquito repellent.
  • Bible or gospel of the day.
  • Rosary.

A solid education, strong values and extensive knowledge.
Enthusiasm, initiative and the ability to choose their own future.
